Back then, people got along
They loved each other or at least that’s how it seemed
Through the eyes of a child everything is magical
Before he recognized the world as the ugly place it can be
life seemed so pristine
There were games, parents were his heroes and they knew what was best
Then the child grew up and things changed
People are mean, everyone is scattered and he discovered secrets he wished he never knew
His heart breaks in tiny pieces trying to fix his adult shattered memories.
